The digital economy can lead to social dumping, unless it is efficiently regulated. There are workers behind apps and we are going to make sure that their rights are protected at work, in case of unemployment or illness, or that they can have a pension after they retire. Workers’ rights are our core business.
The time of austerity is over, because austerity has failed. Cutting on social spending is a bad business. We want stronger welfare states that can invest in boosting job creation and protecting citizens. We want everyone to pay their fair share for the common good.
Twenty years ago it was hard to imagine that PES Women would transform from a platform of exchange within the PES to an active outgoing women’s movement, with real political influence on the European scene.
